We asked you to vote for the best pubs in Soho. According to Londonist readers, these are the choice places to pick up a pint (unless you're in the French House, where they contrarily dispense in halves).

1. French House
=2. Coach and Horses
=2. Dog and Duck
4. The Lyric
=5. Waxy O'Connor's
=5. The Ship
6. White Horse
=7. The Toucan
=7. Crobar
=7. Glasshouse Stores
=7. John Snow

Were these people high when they voted? The fact there's a faux Irish pub and a Man In a Box (Sam Smiths pub to tourists) leads me to believe they were. No Nelly Dean, no Sun & 13 Cantons, no The George, no Crown & Two Chairmen.

It may not have made the list, but i'd make a case for the Ship on Wardour Street. Charlotte, who's been running it for years, is in my opinion the finest Landlady in London.

Oops.

I don't really have a right to complain, since I missed the voting, but that's a surprising list. The Old Coffee House is a notable omission.

As there are two White Horses in Soho, I can't help thinking that votes for both may have wrongly been attributed to single pub.

A pint or two at the French House and then off to The Curzon Cinema. Great!
