What's The Best Pub In Kentish Town?

Each month, we explore the pubs of a different part of town. For June, we're teaming up with Kentishtowner, an award-winning website and newspaper dedicated to north London, with a particular focus on NW5. Together, we'd like to know...

Which do you consider to be the best pubs in Kentish Town?

Here's how to play:

  1. Let us know (in the comments below, on Facebook, or by tweeting #bestKTPub) your favourite pubs in the area. Kentishtowner is also collecting votes.
  2. We’ll tally up the votes on Thursday and publish the results.
  3. We’ll then arrange a pub crawl around the most popular choices. You’re welcome to join us.
  4. The definition of what counts as Kentish Town is up to you. You might stray into Tufnell Park, Gospel Oak or Chalk Farm, so long as your choice might reasonably be included on a Kentish Town pub crawl.
  5. By ‘pubs’, we’re using a shorthand — you can also vote for bars.
  6. You can nominate more than one place. All nominations count as one vote, whether you rank them or not. Likes on Facebook and retweets of someone else’s vote are also counted as new votes.
  7. Venues should be open to the public with no pre-booking, entry fee or membership required.

So, where shall we go?

Londonist Pub Crawls

Having completed an 'A-Z' of areas, we're now choosing other interesting parts of town. Vote winning pubs will be added to our Best Pubs in London microsite.

The Lion and the Unicorn has great beers and food, also no trip to kentish town would be complete without a drink in the camden town brewery bar!

Has to be The Pineapple - great service, awesome Thai food, really friendly local crowd and the toughest pub quiz in all London. I miss living in Kentish Town!

Bull & Last isn't really a pub is it?

Assuming it's a restaurant I'll go for both the Pineapple and Tapping the Admiral, along with the Southampton Arms and the Grafton. Can I vote for 4?

Got to be Tapping the Admiral - ace real ales!

Dave H

The Southampton Arms, hands down.

The Pineapple too, I reckon.

Tapping the Admiral - same owners as the Pineapple but with a cat called Nelson.

A decent crawl could be Southampton, Pineapple, Grafton, Tapping the Admiral...

Helen Chapman

The Southampton Arms & Tapping the Admiral at joint number 1s for me!

While its not in the same class as the southampton, The Junction is a quality boozer also - especially in summer with the garden it has.

Aces great vibe and best pizza in the whole world

Livia Cruz

Aces & Eights. Always have a great time there! Good music and nice crowd.

Scott Sneller

vote for aces purely on the quality of the pizzas
