The Wandsworth Pub Crawl

theship

For part 'W' of our alphabetical pub crawl, we decided to throw a curve ball and select Wandsworth, rather than any of the more obvious candidates (Whitechapel, Waterloo, Westminster, etc.). The result was fewer votes than we've ever had for one of these pub crawls, presumably because Wandsworth is less familiar to the majority than central areas. Yet, we reckon you've selected four excellent pubs for us to try. See below for details of the pub crawl, and how to join us.

Top Pubs In Wandsworth

As voted for by Londonist readers.

1. The Ship (by a long way)
2. The Alma
3. The East Hill
4. The Old Sargeant

Other nominated pubs were: The Armoury, Brewers Inn, The Cat's Back, County Arms, The Grapes, The Hope, Queen Adelaide, The Roundhouse, The Spread Eagle, The Telegraph, The Wandle.

So, congratulations to The Ship, which was also previously voted one of the best pubs on the River Thames by readers (part T of the alphabetical pub crawl).

Map of Nominated Pubs

Green stars are our top places, which we’ll visit on the pub crawl; red pins indicate other nominations. Note: a red pin doesn’t mean it’s a bad pub — in every case, at least one person nominated it as their favourite.

The Pub Crawl

We're going to run the pub crawl on Tuesday 25 February, and in this order:

6pm The Old Sargeant
7.30pm The East Hill
8.30pm The Alma
9.30pm The Ship (by a long way)

Note: there's a bit of a trek between The Old Sargeant and The East Hill, so less hardy pub-crawlers might want to meet up at the second pub.
