Hand-Drawn Maps of London: The Borough of Southwark

This week's map comes from Liam Roberts, whom you may remember from such works as this beautiful map of Brixton rendered as a tree.

Along with major roads and parks, Liam has imprinted the map with historical anecdotes (Faraday's birthplace), local landmarks, and his own personal cycle route penned out in gold. Truly a work of art.

We want your maps: we'd love to receive further contributions to this series. If you've got a spare hour this weekend, have a little doodle. You could make a quirky map of the whole of London, tackle your local borough, sketch out a more localised area, or even draw your street with all the landmarks and stories that are meaningful to you. And you don't need to be a great artist - it's the ideas and observations that count. Send entries to [email protected] and we'll show the funniest, cleverest or most beautiful on the site.

Previously: Brixton as a tree, Central London, Hampstead Heath, Central London with no street names, London as a grid, King's Cross and Islington, Mayfair, Mayfair Squares, New Cross, Notting Hill, Pimlico, Stoke Newington.
