- The London Coffee Festival is at the Old Truman Brewery, Brick Lane.
- Enter the 'labyrinthine gallery' of The King and the Minotaur Friday or Saturday for underground arts meet cocktails near Mornington Crescent NW1.
- Fringe! gay film fest promises: "20 films and events ranging from the sublime to the ridiculous, we’re also throwing in papier mache volcanos, popcorn, performance art, parties and a curated porn session." Set up super quick in response to cuts to the main LGBT film fest, it's a long weekend of film and frolics in east London.
- London Rollergirls face a serious transatlantic challenge in the first WFTDA tournament at ExCel over Saturday and Sunday. There should be tickets on the door, follow @ldnrollergirls for updates.
- The Kapow Comic Con takes over Business Design Centre, Upper St, Islington N1 on Saturday and Sunday. It looks like nearly all the tickets have sold out but that shouldn't stop you dressing up and loitering outside.
- If you look or feel like David Hasselhoff, or if you simply worship him, go to the Bavarian Beerhouse at Tower Hill for the 2 Hassle the Hoff parties, taking place on Friday and Saturday from 8pm. Admission is free.
- Print Club London opens a new exhibition of limited edition Londony silk screen prints produced by street artists from the Rarekind Collective. At the Print Club Shop, 214 Brick Lane E1.

Friday:
- See and hear 2001: A Space Odyssey live at the Royal Festival Hall
- Stay late at Wellcome Collection, Euston Road NW1 for a look at "elemental duality with immersive chemical performance, ingestion, activity and intrigue", 7-11pm, free.
- La Linea Latin music festival has begun. Catch Spanish singer and composer Muchachito make his UK debut at Cargo, 7pm, £15.
Saturday:
- It's The Tweed Run cycle ride. Too late to take part if you didn't register in February but it'll be fun to watch the quaintly attired fleet of riders go past.
- The Most Marvellous Sports Day see Croquet East put on a "cracking afternoon of croquet, tug of war, sack races, cake sales and LOTS of jolly fun" in Victoria Park. £5 to play, raising money for Shelter via a marathon effort, 2.30-5pm.
- Dazed Live is a day and night of "inspiration, rebellion and dancing" in east London. Tickets £25.
- Record Player 1966 turns Bloomsbury Bowling Lanes retro from 8pm, £5 entry.
- Get a ticket for the Place Prize final tonight and you influence which choreographer wins £1000. Cutting edge contemporary dance choreography in the intimate Robin Howard Dance Theatre, near Euston Station. 8pm, tickets £6-17.
Sunday:
- Go to the Eco Garden Party at Vauxhall City Farm, 165 Tyers Street SE11 5HS between 11am-3pm. If you like baking, they need cakes to sell. Free entry.
- Stroll 7m from Hyde Park to Battersea Park and back on skates. Meet 2pm, Serpentine Road, Hyde Park.
- Voce Chamber Choir remind us it is Passion Sunday (in the biblical sense, people) with a concert "14 Stations of the Cross" at St Paul's Church Knightsbridge 7pm. Tickets £15/10 (should be available on the door).
