Things To Do In London At The Weekend: 8-10 April

The weekend post is sponsored by Walk London

All weekend

  • The London Coffee Festival is at the Old Truman Brewery, Brick Lane.
  • Enter the 'labyrinthine gallery' of The King and the Minotaur Friday or Saturday for underground arts meet cocktails near Mornington Crescent NW1.
  • Fringe! gay film fest promises: "20 films and events ranging from the sublime to the ridiculous, we’re also throwing in papier mache volcanos, popcorn, performance art, parties and a curated porn session." Set up super quick in response to cuts to the main LGBT film fest, it's a long weekend of film and frolics in east London.
  • London Rollergirls face a serious transatlantic challenge in the first WFTDA tournament at ExCel over Saturday and Sunday. There should be tickets on the door, follow @ldnrollergirls for updates.
  • The Kapow Comic Con takes over Business Design Centre, Upper St, Islington N1 on Saturday and Sunday. It looks like nearly all the tickets have sold out but that shouldn't stop you dressing up and loitering outside.
  • If you look or feel like David Hasselhoff, or if you simply worship him, go to the Bavarian Beerhouse at Tower Hill for the 2 Hassle the Hoff parties, taking place on Friday and Saturday from 8pm. Admission is free.
  • Print Club London opens a new exhibition of limited edition Londony silk screen prints produced by street artists from the Rarekind Collective. At the Print Club Shop, 214 Brick Lane E1.
  • Check out this trailer for the London Word Festival.
