Play Croquet In Victoria Park With Croquet East

If bashing balls while sipping Pimms sounds like your kind of Saturday sport action then scoot to Victoria Park this weekend for the start of the Croquet East season.

Our croquet knowledge consists of the supremely snooty and bitchy ball bashing in the teen film Heathers and Alice helplessly wielding a flamingo with which to strike a hedgehog in Wonderland. Croquet East have blogged some advice to young croquet players and we particularly like the tip about looking amazed when you miss a shot (also, cheating when nobody's looking). But don't worry if you haven't a clue about the ins and outs of the hoops. Grab a mallet and a cucumber sandwich and the delightful Croquet Easters will ease you in gently.

Welcome in a summer of smashing fun by showing up on Saturday, Vicky Park, 2.30pm. Your first game is free. Membership for the whole year is just £10. Find out more.
