London Rollergirls Host WFDTA Tournament: Anarchy In The UK

London Rollergirls host the first ever Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) tournament to be held outside North America on 9-10 April at ExCel London.

The all-star home team London Brawling will face fierce bouts against Montreal Roller Derby, Pittsburgh's Steel City Derby Demons and Baltimore's Charm City Roller Girls. It will be "the most competitive, hardest-hitting top-level derby ever seen on these shores" and the toughest challenge ever faced by London Rollergirls.

They may be underdogs in terms of ranking and experience but in this fast and furious, all action, full contact sport, hunger can count for a lot. London Rollergirls are the first league to be accepted as members of the WFDTA outside of North America but have yet to be ranked by the WFTDA. Do well at ExCel and they could be off across the pond later this year to compete for the WFTDA Eastern Regional Championship. Much is at stake on their skates!

Six bouts take place over 9-10 April at ExCel London, E16. A weekend ticket is £35 whilst day tickets are £25. Follow @ldnrollergirls on Twitter for all the tournament build up.
