Every day until Christmas we will be pointing you in the direction of a London-inspired Christmas present that (with a bit of luck) you won’t already have on your list. Climb up onto our collective lap and we’ll see what we can move from our sack to your stockings…
London Historians is a Londonist favourite and we're stalwarts of the monthly meet ups where lots of London interested people gather to chat about the city over drinks in a civilised pub.
Membership offers access to very special events (e.g. behind the scenes at HMP Wandsworth, guided tour of the Old Bailey, tour of the Government Art Collection). You get first dibs and discounts on booking stuff like our joint event in January about London Underground: Past, Present and Future and an excellent monthly email newsletter with very interesting articles and a regular "win a history book" competition.
There are various other benefits and a very smart membership card but best of all is the opportunity to tap into a network of really friendly folk with diverse interests and experience. You don't have to be a professional or academic historian to join - anyone interested in London's history and anyone who wants to learn more about it is welcome.
To prove it, London Historians are offering a £10 discount on annual membership to you, dear readers, and chucking in a copy of Curiocity's latest fold-up map to boot. Join or gift membership to a loved one by Boxing Day to take advantage of this special offer.
