Gift certificates for The View From The Shard experience are available to buy priced at £24.95 for adults and £18.95 for children aged 4-15.
Unfortunately there's no special card, token or mini-Shard model to make this a tangible present — you'll have to print out an email and "personalise" it to give the gift of London's best new view. But once you've paid for their tickets and delivered the festively decorated piece of paper, your beloveds get to choose their visit date, redeem the certificate and book their towering trip. Even if they pick a miserable day, some clever technology up top will help them experience the view, even if visibility is low.
The View From The Shard doesn't open until 1 February 2013 but tickets have been on sale since July this year. With demand likely to be as high as the building itself, the recipient of your bounty would do well to book their ascent ASAP.
