The week's most popular posts, and a round-up of what's happening around town.

In the news:

  • How prescient were our election predictions? "Almost complete and utter bollocks" according to the author. Did you follow our election night liveblog? Our all night contributors are still sleeping it off.
  • Did you vote for the clairvoyant candidate or Mad Captain Tom?
  • Weary of the constant campaigning, we turned out hands to defacing election literature
  • Away from the election, pickpockets and puns amused us courtesy of the tube map
  • 2012 Olympic merchandise went on sale
  • and while Westfield East boasted 60% occupation sign up, a smash and grab raid hit the jewellery stores of West Westfield

    Other good stuff:

  • You can take the Londoner out of London but you can't take London out of the Londonista
  • You picked the Long Good Friday as best London film - read the full results and join us for screenings at Museum of London
  • Museum of the Month is the Maritime Galleries, Greenwich
  • Abracadabra: take a peek inside the Magic Circle Browse the brilliant hand drawn London maps so far and be inspired to submit your own

    Comment of the week:

On the Elephant Parade in Pictures, there's something of a race begun to capture all 260 eles:

Other than the astounding city in an Elephant one at City Hall/More London, my favourite so far is the Hornbill (http://www.flickr.com/photos/asw909/4584531925/), which seems to sum up the whole wonderfully loopy concept brilliantly.

(I've challenged myself to get all 260 or so while they are on display. 25 in the first few days is a good start, although if anyone can enlighten me on the location of the one near the Gherkin, I'd love to hear from you!)

    Good luck Adam Williams!
