  • A 48 hour Tube strike left both sides pointing the finger. Twitter came into it's own as people tweeted their experiences, but a "twtition" failed to capture the imagination.
  • Britain awoke to a nasty electoral hangover, but in London new Green voters outweighed new BNP voters three to one. A press conference by Nick Griffin didn't go eggsactly as planned.
  • The capital found itself outside of the world's top fifty liveable cities
