Regent Street hasn't gone car-free for Christmas since 2020.

Regent Street will go car-free for festive shoppers on Saturday 6 December.

Closed to traffic between Oxford Circus and Piccadilly Circus, Regent Street will transform into a 'Festive Mile', with special events running from 2pm to 9pm, including:

πŸŽ„ Late night opening from many Regent Street stores and outlets, with carols at Bentley's; in-store drinks and DJs at Marc Jacobs; and the Soho Saint Brass Band playing live at Ziggy Green β€” among other things.

πŸŽ„ Roving street performers, including stilt walkers, juggling jesters and 'funny festive butlers'.

πŸŽ„Three parked-up vintage London buses: a selfie bus; a disco bus; and a festive crafts bus.

πŸŽ„ Stalls selling festive refreshments, such as fudge and mulled wine.

The last time Regent Street closed to traffic was during Christmas 2020, at a time when the world continued to reel from the Covid pandemic.

Back in September 2025, a section of Oxford Street went car free for a day, providing a tempting preview of what a traffic-less central London could look like.
