- Help transform Bird Walk in Lambeth: donate seeds or plants, volunteer to tidy and plant or just walk through and admire a garden in progress.
- London artist, Ed Gray, has an open weekend aboard the Dixie Queen on the Thames with a tour of his work at 3pm on Saturday and Sunday (free entry).
- We Make London Christmas Craft Market is open in Old Spitalfields Market.
- Discover Dogs at Earls Court 1 (tickets £11 adults adv, £15 on the door/concs, £8/£12).
- Find out about fish at Aquatics Live in Olympia (adult tickets from £10, kids £6.25).
- Graze your way around the BBC Good Food Show at Olympia (tickets from £20 adults).
- The Oxfam shop in Ealing Broadway is holding a special Steampunk shopping event stuffed with Victoriana all weekend.
- Ice rinks are already open for seasonal skating at Canary Wharf and Natural History Museum.
Saturday:
- The Lord Mayor's Show processes from Bank to Aldwych from 11am. No fireworks this year but plenty of pageantry including a Sherman tank, loads of horses, vintage cars, marching bands and that special gold carriage.
- Comica Comiket, the Independent Comics Fair is in the Great Hall at Bishopsgate Institute from 11am to 7pm (free entry).
- Watch around 500 boats take part in the Head of the River rowing race on the Thames from Mortlake to Putney starting at 12.15.
- Take an Autumn Wildlife Walk round Gunnersbury Triangle from 1-3pm (free).
- Go to a Tea Dance in Greenwich at 2pm (entry £8/£6 includes tea & cake).
- If you missed 5 November fireworks there's one more bonfire to go to in Bounds Green, thanks to the local scouts and guides (£4 adults, £3 kids).
- DJ Yoda's Audiovisual Spectacular will be immense at the Kentish Town Forum from 8pm till 2am (£19.50 advance).
- Two of the UK's finest DJs, Jackmaster and Ben UFO, play Wapping Studio Spaces (tickets £15).
Sunday:
- It's Remembrance Sunday with the traditional National Service of Remembrance and two-minute silence taking place at the Cenotaph and special family events at the RAF Museum and Imperial War Museum.
- Watch out for the No Man's Land music and poetry performances at ten tube stations starting from 11.03am.
- The Vintage Fashion Fair is at Cecil Sharp House, Primrose Hill from 11am till 5pm (get free tickets on their website or £3 in).
- Thrales Day of Rapture will see rapper dance groups perform at the Prince William Henry on Blackfriars Road between 12-4pm (free but buy a pint).
- The OneTaste Festival fills the Bedford in Balham with 50 artists from 1pm till midnight for a musical, poetical, theatrical and danceable extravaganza (tickets £20 adv.)
- Watch the veteran rowers take on the Head of the River Fours race from 1.30pm.
- Enjoy children's opera, Hedgehog's Home at Conway Hall at 2pm (tickets £8/£5+bkg).
