The Seven Dials Christmas Lights Date Has Been Announced
Seven Dials Christmas lights, and stone pillar illuminated for the festive season

The Seven Dials Christmas lights will be switched on at a special event on 14 November.

The septet of streets around the stone column go traffic-free for the evening, while shops and restaurants in the area run special events, and offer discounts to help get your Christmas shopping started.

Look out for family-friendly activities on a 'star' theme, live festive music, complimentary drinks and wreath-making sessions.

Crowds gather for switching on the Seven Dials Christmas lights

Head to the sundial pillar at 6.30pm for the light switch-on and watch the skies above illuminate with twinkling stars, heralding the start of the festive season in the shopping district.

Eager Christmas fans will have noticed that the event coincides with the switching on of Regent Street's Christmas lights, meaning much of the West End will be traffic-free for the evening.

Further details will be announced on the Seven Dials website. Find out when the rest of London's Christmas lights are switched on, including Covent Garden, Carnaby, and the Trafalgar Square Christmas tree.
