Want to see Regent Street's Christmas lights switched on this year? Put Thursday 14 November in your diary.

That's the date the festive illuminations burst into life, for the 2019 Christmas shopping season.

The world-famous shopping street is closed to traffic from 4pm-9pm on 14 November for the official illuminating ceremony, when those iconic 'Spirit of Christmas' angels will be switched on for the festive season.

Details of the host and performers at this year's event have yet to be announced — keep an eye on the Regent Street website for more details.
