  • Watch out for Morris dancers around town as it's Westminster Day of Dance.
  • It's been 50 years since trolleybuses stopped running in London and Fulwell Garage in Twickenham holds the Trolleybus 50 Open Day to mark the occasion between 10am-5pm (free admission).
  • Experience May in a Day! at Cecil Sharp House with family folk arts including live music, maypole, morris and clog dancing, crafts and more from 2-5pm (tickets adults £6, kids £4).
  • London Symphony Orchestra play Stravinsky in Trafalgar Square from 6.30pm (free).
  • Festival Live! is a new club night at the Water Rats with 8 live bands on stage from 6pm (£8 on the door).

London Street Games

Not forgetting Battersea 'Summer in the Square' festival on Saturday 12th May.  Stalls (including Treasure Trails!), food, music... and sunshine! (Allegedly). Hosted by Friends of St Thomas's School. Takes place in Battersea Square, a short walk from Clapham Junction station.


Chestnut Sunday in Bushy Park, near Hampton Court.  Starts 12.30pm and finished 4.30pm
