These Are The Best London Christmas Decorations Around This Year

We've trawled the vast and sometimes bemusing array of London-themed Christmas decorations out there this year, and here's our pick of the absolute best. Because nothing says 'Christmas' like a London bus.

1. London Underground Glass Decoration

We love this colourful glass roundel decoration from the National Gallery. It'll add a touch of colour to your Christmas tree, and you know it's going to look gorgeous alongside twinkling lights.
London Underground Glass Decoration, National Gallery, £7.50

2. Wooden London Fretwork Hanging Decoration

There's something rather hyggelig about this on-trend wooden tree decoration — we're not sure if its the material or the colours, but we do know we like it.
Wooden London Fretwork Hanging Decoration, National Gallery, £4.50

3. Tourism London Sky Glass Hanging Decoration

It's all here: the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye, a taxi, Tower Bridge, St Paul's, and the Gherkin. Lovely for any londonphiles out there willing to turn a blind eye to the city's actual geography.
Bombki Tourism London Sky Glass Hanging Decoration, John Lewis, £45.

4. London Glass Bauble

Cath Kidston's London Christmas bauble for 2016 nods to the designer's famous colour scheme, but still keeps a Christmassy theme with the snow and Christmas trees.

5. Embroidered London Taxi Christmas Decoration

Taxi! If there's ever a good time to splash out on a cab, it's Christmas, when you've either got too much shopping to carry on the tube, or had too many drinks to handle the night bus. So why not add one to your Christmas tree, too? Particularly when it's trimmed in sparkly silver. This National Gallery version is fairtrade too.

6. Felt Great British Christmas Decorations

Certainly the best value of our London Christmas decoration round-up this year is this offering from The Christmas Home, via Not On The High Street. For £14, you get four lovely Londony felt decorations: a London bus, a London taxi, a post box and a telephone box. Beautiful!
Felt Great British Christmas Decorations, notonthehighstreet.com, £5 individually, £14 for a set of four

7. Routemaster Moquette Christmas Tree Decoration

Perfect for the transport geek in your life, the London Transport Museum has this Christmas tree decoration in tartan Routemaster moquette. The addition of seasonal gold edging is just perfect.
Routemaster Moquette Christmas Tree Decoration, London Transport Museum, £9.99

8. Father Christmas and Big Ben

If your Christmas tree is missing something this year, it's probably a decoration combining Father Christmas and a famous clock tower, right? Thankfully, Selfridges has just the thing: Santa is carrying 'Big Ben' in his sack. Yes, that's Big Ben. If you squint a bit.
Father Christmas Big Ben hanging decoration, Selfridges, £21.50

9. Bombki London Christmas Set

Another fab London Christmas decoration set from Not On The High Street, but a little more pricey this time.

If you've got a spare £40 for five unique, hand-blown glass ornaments from Bombki, there's a couple of fab London sets right here.

Above is Little Policeman, Little London Eye, Little Post Box, Little Tube Train, Little Canary Wharf (yes, that's right).

Below is Little Big Ben, Little London Bus, Little London Soldier, Little London Taxi and Little Telephone Box set.
