The original branch of the now-venerable Craft Beer Company, this also feels the most spacious. The big draw, as the name makes abundantly clear, is the range of craft beers. It's overwhelming.

No man nor woman, working alone or in tandem, could possibly appraise the full spread of options. As if 37 pumps and taps were not enough, the bottle fridges contain another 400 choices. Unsurprisingly, this makes for a busy bar. Yet there's plenty of standing room on the quiet side street.

A stylish function room upstairs is another good option. And check out that mirrored ceiling, which still bears the hour marks from the pub's former incarnation as The Clockhouse.
