This pub was nominated as one of the best in Clapham by Londonist readers.
The former King's Arms has a fresh, modern look in the shape of King & Co. It's all about the beer here, with six casks and a dozen kegs vying for attention. All is tabulated on a nearby chalkboard. This is not one to visit on a pub crawl, but a place to relax and while away a few hours, sampling the different beverages from local, national and international brewers. The furniture is pretty typical wooden chairs and tables, set off by the least attractive three-piece suite we've seen this side of 1977.
If you get peckish, a small kitchen to the right of the bar offers cuisine from pop-up residencies. On our visit, Vinn Goute Seychelles Kitchen was coming to the end of its two-month stint, to be replaced by Busan BBQ.
On Facebook. On Twitter as @TheKingandCo. Quiz night is Monday.
