Parents: Tried This Great Play Space In Clerkenwell?

Clerkenwell's Postal Museum is well known for its Mail Rail train rides, but did you know it also has one of London's best children's play areas?

The Sorted! space is a first-class activity room for children aged eight and under.

Kids can deliver mail around a model town, load up the van with fresh parcels, weigh and stamp the mail in a fun-sized post office, or slide down the chute in the soft-play sorting office. We've all wanted to do that.

The space caters well for all ages (up to eight). The bigger kids had endless fun with the slide and parcel carts. Our own little Londonist, almost aged 2, was mesmerised by the magnetic wall shapes, challenged by the shape sorters, and taken with her post office overalls.

A £5 ticket, which should be pre-booked, gets you a 45-minute session. The time goes all too quickly. There's even a refreshment stall if all the action gets too much... for the parents.

Sessions can be booked on the hour between 10am and 4pm, 7 days a week. Book in advance to avoid disappointment.
