See London's Twinkling Christmas Lights On A Vintage Bus Tour

What's better than sitting on a bus, watching London's Christmas lights roll past your window?

Sitting on a vintage bus watching the Christmas lights, that's what.

This Christmas, London Transport Museum runs Christmas Lights and Sights tours on board its original RT bus. Begin your evening at the Covent Garden museum with a festive film screening and crafts for the kids, before boarding the bus nearby.

The tour itself lasts about an hour, cruising past London's landmarks in all their Christmas finery, while a soundtrack of classic festive songs plays on board.

The route may vary on the night, depending on traffic or road closures, but the plan is to take in Christmas lights at Covent Garden, Embankment, Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, Regent Street, Shaftesbury Avenue and Strand.

A word of warning — the old vehicle isn't heated, so wrap up warm for your festive adventure.

Christmas Lights and Sights tours take place on 14, 15, 20 and 21 December 2019. Tickets are £17 for adults/£10 for under 18s, and need to be booked in advance — and we suspect they'll sell out pretty sharpish.
