The grounds of Kenwood House on Hampstead Heath will gleam with a Peter Pan themed light trail this Christmas.
Running from Friday 21 November 2025 to Saturday 3 January 2026, Neverland at Kenwood invites visitors to "follow Tinker Bell's fairy dust path from the rooftops of London to the heart of Neverland — soaring through the Darling family home, past a glowing Big Ben, and into a wondrous world where magic and adventure capture the imagination" by way of dramatic lighting, immersive storytelling and an atmospheric soundscape.
The family-friendly festive experience — which will be in competition with the likes of Christmas at Kew — also promises to whisk visitors to the Lost Boys' secret hideout, Skull Rock and Captain Hook's pirate ship. Perhaps there'll also be a Second Star to the Right, although it's true that that line's a Disneyfication.
Historically, of course, Peter Pan has closer ties with another London green space, Kensington Gardens, where you'll find a statue of the boy who never grew up, which was erected not far from the home of the book's author, J.M. Barrie. He famously donated the significant royalties to Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH), and in keeping with this, £1 from every ticket sale of Neverland at Kenwood will go GOSH. Said tickets are now on sale.
