A year ago, Angel Gardens was a waste ground — if you go onto Google Streetview, the image of the end of Rays Road in Edmonton is from July 2014 and it's not pretty. Fast forward just over 12 months and there are the beginnings of a beautiful community recreation ground. Right now there are flower beds and an outdoor gym (we were mightily impressed by two teenage boys doing backflips on the bouncy flooring); the future will bring more trees, play areas, a skate/BMX park and art project space. Not bad for a former fly tipping spot.
