Here's a good reason not to have your head buried in your phone on trains: you might miss something like this. While daydreaming on a recent journey, our eye was caught by this magnificent garden at Elmstead Woods. It's not new (it was created by former station staff about 20 years ago — more background here) but a couple of years back the Elmstead Woods Station Gardening Club took it over, spruced it up, put in some pergolas and turned it into the beauty it now is. There's even a fishpond, which was attracting dragonflies while we were there. Best. Wait. For. A. Train. Ever.
