The aeronautical traffic jam above celebrates the Queen's Official Birthday on Saturday 13 June. The RAF flypast will take place a 1pm BST, shortly after the Trooping of the Colour ceremony. 31 aircraft will take part; here's a spotter's guide:
We don't have an official route map, so we put together this rough flightpath based on the known fly-past sites (shown as pins). The planes will be flying east to west, coming in from Suffolk and Essex, then heading out over north-west London en route to Brize Norton.
Another flypast to get excited about takes place on 28 June, when a Vulcan bomber will shake the skies over the RAF Museum in Colindale. Ian Visits has the details, as known so far.
