Look Out For The Mother Of All Flypasts On Saturday

In truth, if you're in central London you won't be able to miss it. Look at this line-up:

flypast

The aeronautical traffic jam above celebrates the Queen's Official Birthday on Saturday 13 June. The RAF flypast will take place a 1pm BST, shortly after the Trooping of the Colour ceremony. 31 aircraft will take part; here's a spotter's guide:

We don't have an official route map, so we put together this rough flightpath based on the known fly-past sites (shown as pins). The planes will be flying east to west, coming in from Suffolk and Essex, then heading out over north-west London en route to Brize Norton.

Another flypast to get excited about takes place on 28 June, when a Vulcan bomber will shake the skies over the RAF Museum in Colindale. Ian Visits has the details, as known so far.
