Nuts & Bolts

There's a new comedy night launching on 29 March at the Brady Arts & Community Centre near Whitechapel: Nuts & Bolts welcomes sketch duo and telly show-havers Cardinal Burns, musical Canadian Mae Martin and sketch trio The Grandees. £10, 7.30pm

We Love Comedy

We Love Comedy on 1 April at The Pipeline near Liverpool Street has a stonking line-up. Book in advance for cheap tickets to see Edinburgh winner Bridget Christie, Joe Bor, Sarah Bennetto, Tobias Persson and Andy Zapp. £5 adv / £8, 8.15pm

SuZanna Gonzo and Friends

Another new night starts, this time a combo of cabaret and comedy at Bethnal Green Working Men's Club on 1 April. Katie O'Brien does her show SuZanna GonZo:Dark Lady, plus guests Jody Kamali, Tessa Waters and Dan Lees. £4.50 adv / £6, 7.30pm

Tickled Pig

Head to the Canal Cafe Theatre on 2 April for Tickled Pig and stand-up from Ed Gamble, Pat Cahill, Sofie Hagen, Thomas Ward, Ian Lane, Sam Chaplin, Tony Carroll, Jay Handley and Daniel Branch. If we remember correctly, this is the night that offers M&S Percy Pigs to scoff. £10 / £9, 7.30pm

Andrew Lawrence

Misanthrope Andrew Lawrence does two nights at the Bloomsbury Theatre with his show There Is No Escape on 4-5 April. Get a taster of his act with the video below. £15 / £13 + bf, 8pm

Live at the Chapel

Joe Wilkinson (he of the beard in Him and Her) headlines the Union Chapel in Islington on 5 April, with excellent support from Nick Helm, Aisling Bea, Alistair Green and Alex Horne doing the introductions. £18 / £16, 7.45pm
