London Connection Puzzle

Did you get the answer to last week's connection puzzle? The clues were PRINCE GEORGE, BUCKINGHAM, HAMPTON COURT and LENOX. The answer is that they are all Royal Navy ships built in Deptford. It was a particularly tricky puzzle, but several people got it with 'Lenox', given the recent plans to rebuild the ship as a heritage attraction. Congratulations to Nikolas Taylor, who was first to get it right. A new puzzle starts tomorrow.

Monday? Boo. Lewd Charles Dickens' quotes from classic literature? Yay!!

London Weather by Inclement Attlee

With strong winds pounding in from the west, this would be a foolhardy day to stand on a tightrope, folding sheets — just in case you had such plans. East London's pandemic of pop-up rooftop cinemas should also take care to batten down their projection screens and ironic deck-chairs. Otherwise, cool with sunny spells and a great morose over Sutton.
