Our selection of London’s comedy gigs this week and to book ahead for.

Stand Up For Choice

There's an interesting line-up for this Dignity in Dying fundraiser at the Union Chapel. Jo Brand headlines, plus Robin Ince, Simon Munnery, James Dowdeswell, Chris Larner and more. 17 September, 7.30pm, £15 + bf.

Bridget Christie's barely had time for her Edinburgh award to start gathering dust and she's back here in the capital. See her at Chris Coltrane's night for politics and new, thoughtful comedy at the Black Heart in Camden, alongside Sarah Kendall and the fabulous Robin and Partridge. 17 September, 8.30pm, £3.

Katherine Ryan

For this sort-of work-in-progressy show, the Pleasance website has a quote describing Katherine Ryan as being "tiny, pretty... with quite a dark, savage wit". It must be true, because we said it nearly two years ago. Fast becoming a breakout star, snap up a ticket: it's only a fiver. 18 September, 7.30pm, £5.

Croft and Pearce

Sketch duo Hannah Croft and Fiona Pearce (see video) went down a storm in Edinburgh, packing the audience in and sending the critics away happy. They're playing the very intimate (i.e. tiny) Lounge at Leicester Square Theatre on 20 September, 8.30pm, £8.

Sunday Special

Head to Greenwich for an absolutely great double bill with Tony Law and Marcus Brigstocke, plus the added bonus of Ed Gamble MCing. 22 September, 7.30pm, £6 / £4.
