Preview: Loving London With Fiona-Jane Weston

Like a bawdy, singing version of Peter Ackroyd, Fiona-Jane Weston will tell the complete history of London, from the Romans to the present day, in one show.

Loving London is her personal take on the capital, featuring folk songs, poetry and tales from the city's past and present. She promises to reveal both the light and dark side of London – with help from Samuel Pepys, Petula Clark, the Kinks, Mrs Lovett and many others.

We got a taster of the show at a recent London Historians event and reckon you're in for a treat.

Loving London runs for three nights at Leicester Square Theatre (4, 10, 11 August). Tickets £15.
