Whether you Valentine or whether you don't, there's plenty to love in London this weekend.
All weekend:
- As Valentine's Day falls on Monday, the weekend is full of sexy/sickening/romantic/alternative themed activity, some of which is summed up here but we also like the Hendrick's Refined Courtship Clinic giving advice on affairs of the heart, laced with gin, in Covent Garden and the Natural History Museum's timely new exhibition, Sexual Nature (on until October but bound to busy this weekend so book your tickets quicksmart).
- The Last of the Red Wine, an arty radio sit-com is being created and performed live and free at the ICA all weekend.
- BFI Future Film Festival gets 15-25 year olds with workshops, live music, screenings and more.
- Chelsea Physic Garden opens unseasonally for another snowdrop weekend.
- The Flamenco Festival is at Sadler's Wells
- Kevin Eldon: is Titting About has been extended at Soho Theatre and runs all weekend.
- Go looking for our Top 10 Modern Sculptures around London.
Friday:
- Secret Cinema returns tonight....
- Purcell's The Fairy Queen is performed in the Front Room at Queen Elizabeth Hall tonight by New London Consort and interpreted by artists from Circus Space. At 7.30pm, tickets from £15.
- Did you get your ticket for the Secret Garden Party's Lost Lovers Ball at Battersea Power Station?
- Beat Redemption offers epic dubstep at Whitehchapel's Rhythym Factory. 10pm-5am, £8 adv, MOTD.
Saturday:
- Daylight Music at Union Chapel, Islington presents a free triple bill of music to enjoy with a cuppa tea between midday and 2pm.
- Balletomanes heads up: part of the Resolution programme tonight is Edward Watson performing a solo at The Place. We'll fight you for the front row seats.
- I Heartbreak London presents a mix of musical talent, cabaret style at Rich Mix. Doors 8pm, tickets £5 adv, £7 on the door.
- Spoonfed recommend a night of sleaze with Rent Boys at Hoxton's Macbeth, free from 8pm-4am.
Sunday:
- Last chance to see the Charles Holden designs for London Underground exhibition at V&A
- Part of the Barbican's Directorspective on Michelangelo Antonioni, book for a lunchtime screening of La Notte, 1.30pm.
- Camden's Lock Tavern lays on an Anti-Valentine's special featuring Tribes live plus hip hop Djs: 3-11pm, free.
