What's On In London This Weekend? 22-24 October

What are you up to this weekend? Here's a round up of our recommendations and a smattering of suggestions to help you make the most of your 48 hours leisure time.

All weekend:

  • The Bloomsbury Festival opens tonight.
  • Like a "Hay-on-Wye of the weird" the Fortean Times UnConvention probes strange things on Saturday and Sunday.
  • Were you obsessed enough to get tickets to the Twin Peaks weekender at BAC?
  • "Smize" girls, and be fierce. BNTM Live brings in more bucks for Ms Banks at Excel.
  • The Affordable Art Fair is in Battersea Park. As is Carters Steam Fair.
  • The Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition opens at the Natural History Museum.
  • Watch out for sleuthing teams all over town as a double dose of Foreign Bodies sets off on a fiendish trail to crack a global conspiracy.
  • There's still plenty to see during Photomonth 2010
  • Friday:
  • Come and toast the photographers who made it to the wall of Foyles Gallery and wish Londonist happy 6th birthday at the Thames Barrier to Teddington private view and party tonight between 6.30-9pm.
  • Saturday:

  • Sing in Burgess Park with a relaxed group workshop between 11am-12.30pm, £10.
  • Little literary ones can enjoy Crystal Palace Children's Book Festival Grown ups can mix mudlarking with conservation at the Thames21 Battersea Foreshore clean up between 9am-12, including river dipping for the kids.
  • It's Apple Weekend at Camley Street Natural Park, NW1 with a free fruity fun day between 10am-5pm.
  • Join the Vigil Against Hate Crime in Trafalgar Square between 7-9pm.
  • The Wam Bam Club celebrates 4 fabulous years with free burlesque classes by 'Burlesque Baby' at 6 & 6.30 followed by a top show hosted by Lady Alex featuring a fantastic line up of acts from 8-10pm and a cracking after party with the Earl of Ealing till 4am at the glamorous Cafe de Paris.   • Sunday:
  • Hie thee to the Globe on Bankside for the October Plenty - the free annual autumn harvest celebration led by the Lions Part mixing up customs old and new. From midday.
  • Tilt's London Liming is extra special tonight as London poet Laura Dockrill performs with special guests, Robin Ince and Luke Kennard and a galaxy of spoken word stars led by Tilt in a poetry based carnival party. 7.30pm, Purcell Room, Southbank Centre. Warm up beforehand with free bossa nova and samba music in the Front Room at QEH. £10, book now. Other good stuff:
