The Courtauld Gallery (open late tonight) by Where The Art Is
There's plenty of spooky, ooky and kooky free and cheapness this week but please check out our Halloween and Day of the Dead posts for those. If you're steering clear of pagan festivities, here's wallet friendly stuff for you too:

Tonight: The Courtauld Gallery is open Late as part of the Inside Out Festival. At £6 it's a squeak over our normal fiver but worth it for a special occasion? 6-9pm with live music, talks, card magic, short films and Cezanne's 'Card Players'.

A free screening of 'Pressure' at Hackney Museum celebrates Black History Month, 7.30pm.

Join the Mayfair Culinary Tour with Westminster Walking at 6.30pm, £5.

Stay home and listen to Nigel of Bermondsey and Vanessa London Dreamtime on Lost Steps, Resonance 104.4FM, 10.30pm. Repeated Friday at 2.30pm and then turned into a fab podcast.

Friday: The Super Shorts International Film Festival starts tonight at 7pm with free entry to the screenings at the Cinema, Regent's College, Regent's Park. First come, first served. Also, Saturday and Sunday evening.

Saturday: Strictly Autumn Ballroom is a free afternoon of dancing in the Clore Ballroom at Royal Festival Hall. Free between 1-4pm. Don't be afraid to wear ballgowns and fake tan please.

Sunday: AppleWeen at Kentish Town City Farm combines Apple Day with seasonal celebrations of the day (of the dead), 1-4pm, adults £1, kids free.

Grab a free burrito on Brick Lane from the new Daddy Donkey van.

Monday: Recent Londonist interviewee, Rumer, does a free in-store gig at Rough Trade East, 7pm. Wristbands given out an hour before, first come, first served.

LSE's public arts discussion looks at Lady Chatterly's Lover, 50 years on. Geoffrey Robertson QC and a panel explore the impact of the trial on our current laws and assumptions on freedom of expression. 6.30pm, free but get a ticket on the day to secure your place.

Lewisham Green Drinks welcome anyone an interest in green/environmental issues to meet up, chat and network informally with like-minded individuals at Mr Lawrence's Wine Bar, 389 Brockley Road, SE4 from 7.30pm.

Tuesday: Favela Chic in Old Street host a Brazilian Music and Dance Night with Samba Rock Especial!. Free before 9pm, £3 after.

Wednesday: Comedy speed dating at Up The Creek in Greenwich is only a fiver, although you'll probably want to shell out for some Dutch courage too. Fun and friendly - we've been before.

What did we miss? What's going on near you? Please share. Leave a comment, email tips@londonist.com or tweet us @londonist. Thanks!
