Death From Liver Disease Rising Fast In London

Liver disease in the capital rose by 23% between 2007 and 2008, reports an all-party parliamentary group. Nationwide, there has been a 60% rise in deaths over the past decade. Binge drinking is one trigger, but hepatitis C is thought to play an increasing role. MPs are calling for a commensurate improvement in treatment for liver problems. Prevention would seem a more effective aim. We should all take a closer look at the causes of liver disease and cancer, especially the risk factors for HepC.
