Greenpeace Halt BP Pump Supply In London

The environmental campaign group Greenpeace have switched off fuel supplies to at least 20 BP petrol stations (some say 46) around London. The group are trying to attract the attentions of incoming CEO Bob Dudley, demanding that he avoid "his predecessor's obsession with high-risk, environmentally-reckless sources of oil". The stunt was achieved by 'flipping safety switches' on forecourts, then removing the switches to prevent quick reopening - actions that BP's besieged spokespeople have labelled 'childish and irresponsible'. Greenpeace, meanwhile, say "They're desperate for us to believe they're going 'beyond petroleum'. Well now's the time to prove it."
