The people behind the Big Idea debates (popular, pubular discussions about contentious issues) have a new wheeze up their sleeve. The Big Picture events will show idea-provoking films, which will then be discussed by the audience. The first one screens 7.30 pm on Monday (29th) at the delicately furnished (if not named) Paradise By Way of Kensal Green. The film? Waking Life, a sort-of-animated exploration of conciousness from director Richard Linklater. Tickets cost £5 and can be purchased in advance. Word is they've got Gattaca lined up for 19 April.
