Goldfinger's Babies Saved

2702_trellick.jpg The cluster of buildings at the base of the Trellick Tower, which has been under the threat of demolition for most of the year as part of Kensington & Chelsea's regeneration plans, will live on to fight another day after the council decided to leave them standing. Dubbed "Goldfinger's Babies", the low-rise buildings were saved after a fervent campaign by homeowners and tenants in Edenham Way, and they'll now try to get the estate protected under the same Grade II* listing as its sky-scraping neighbour. Why not celebrate the news with a Trellick Tower bookend? (Image / boet49)
