Mayor's Transport Advisor Detained After Motorbike Accident

Kulveer Ranger, transport advisor to Boris Johnson, found himself in a spot of bother on a recent trip to Georgia (the Euro-Asian country, not the US state). The rookie biker collided with a pedestrian while taking part in a London to Tblisi charity ride in August, reportedly breaking the man's leg and causing minor injuries to his own person. Police took their time over the case and confiscated Ranger's passport, but eventually cleared him of any culpability. The unfortunate incident tarnished an otherwise successful trip to raise money for Shooting Star Children's Hospice in London. Still, Ranger certainly gathered plenty of information about how 'different counties tackle the challenge of transport', one of his stated aims.
