Londonist Stays In

Bringing you the most Londony shows on TV over the coming week.

Monday

Moses Jones (BBC2, 21.00-22.00) If TfL have a shortage of grit, it may be because it's all been ploughed into this show. A carved up body in the Thames, head-dunking in filthy toilets, a shizoid suicide...and Dennis Waterman.

Whitechapel (ITV1, 21.00-22.00) ITV-shirking snobs should check out this cracking bit of television, a curious blend of Life on Mars and From Hell. Rupert Penry-Spooks faces both a Jack-the-Ripper copycat murderer and the incredulity of his layabout officers. Lucky there's a Ripperologist on hand to help him catch the most notorious killer of all time.

Wednesday

Inside Out (BBC2, 19.30-20.00) The team travel to Sipson near Heathrow, one of the villages due to be atomised by the new runway.

Minder (FIVE, 21.00-22.00) The series debut was an absolute hoot. Naff acting, implausible plot, stonking soundtrack and so many gratuitous shots of London landmarks that it felt like fliming took place entirely in the Londonist Flickr pool. This week, the duo are joined by Rick Mayall and Meera Syal.

Thursday

Soho Blues (C5, 21.00-22.00) Final part of the fly-on-the-wall Soho crime series. In what sounds like the plot from an Ealing comedy, two men attempt to nick a £500 train set from London's largest toy shop.
