A large section of the Old Street area has been closed off due to what police are describing as 'a major gas leak'. The section between Goswell Road and the Old Street roundabout has been cordoned off, and several fire engines are in attendance. An eyewitness on the scene believes that the leak is centred just North of Golden Lane. More soon.
