Combining the serenity of yoga with a glass floor suspended 42 metres above a fast flowing river seems a somewhat juxtaposed way to start a Monday morning. But if that's what floats your boat, the Tower Bridge Exhibition is offering you the chance to do just that.

For four Mondays in February and March, the public can take part in a sunrise vinyasa-flow yoga session on the recently opened upper storey with new glass floor panels. The classes, led by London-based yoga teacher Billie Woodcraft are open to everyone of all abilities

We're assured that the 11m x 1.8m glass panes can take the weight of one elephant and two London Black Cabs (although we're not sure if that's an and/or situation), and it would make for a memorable downward dog if you're lucky enough to see the famous bascules raising to allow a boat through while you've got your nose pressed to the glass.

Yoga mats are provided, however all participants are advised to use gripped gloves and socks on the glass floor.

Yoga at Tower Bridge takes place 16 February-9 March at 7.30am and costs £15 per session. Book now for 16 February, 23 February, 2 March and 9 March.

UPDATE: Due to extra demand, extra dates have been added. Get tickets for 18 February, 25 February, 4 March and 11 March.
