Take Part In TfL's Tube Contactless Payment Pilot

contactless_070114A couple of weeks ago we wrote about the first anniversary of contactless payment on London buses and noted the fairly piss-poor take-up. In the end, we concluded, it probably won't become popular until we can use contactless payment cards on all forms of London transport and it supports daily capping.

That's about to become reality – with a catch. Transport for London is piloting using contactless cards on the tube, DLR, Overground, trams and some rail services and you'll need to apply to take part. You'll need to travel using pay as you go or a 7 day travelcard and be willing to give feedback. Oh, and have a contactless card, obviously.

Places are limited so tell them you're interested now. Read more details about the pilot here.
