NOUR FESTIVAL: Kensington & Chelsea’s Nour Festival of Arts continues, with free and cheap exhibitions, talks and music taking place all week.

PECKHAM LIT: Also taking place this week is the Peckham Literary Festival with spoken word, book readings and poetry nights. £3 per event, prebook, until 1 Dec

Monday 25 November

THEATRE: Over the next three days, Earwig, a one-act black comedy by playwright Fraser McFarlane is upstairs at The Bell Pub in Aldgate. Pay what you want, just turn up, 8pm

DIGESTION: Learn about what goes on inside your body after scoffing that dinner down, at The Science of Digestion at Kia Oval. Free, prebook, 2-5pm

SCIENCE ART: The Art of Medicine: Self-Portrait without Breasts at St George's, University of London presents poet Clare Best’s personal journey through preventive double mastectomy. Free, prebook, 6pm

INSPIRATION: Crowd Talks is at The Book Club in Shoreditch to discuss creative inspiration, where we find it and its influence. £3.30, prebook, 7-9pm

FESTIVE TRASH: The Duke Mitchell Film Club at The Phoenix Artist Club focuses on Christmas trailer trash tonight. Free, just turn up, from 7pm (screening start at 8pm)

FILM: Dummy Jim is a film, based on a true story, about one deaf man's 3,000 mile cycle trip from Scotland to the Arctic Circle and it screens tonight at Oval Space. £5, prebook, 8pm

PRINT OUTS: Stack Magazines looks back over their favourite independent magazine launches of 2013 and the magazine makers will reveal how their first year in the business went. Also at The Book Club. £5, prebook, 6.30-9pm

NARNIA: Did you know that Narnia is actually based in Hackney? Well it is tonight, as the final Make Escape craft night of the year takes place at Hackney Attic with Aslan and white witch DIY projects, crystal ice embroidery and collage corner. Free, just turn up, 7.30pm

Wednesday 27 November

LONGSWORD: Trevor Stone was a keen longsword dancer and collector and a selection of his personal artefacts will be displayed at Cecil Sharp House from today. Free, just turn up, until January 2014

STAGE DESIGN: To coincide with this year’s Linbury Prize exhibition, a discussion with leading theatre practitioners explores the art of set and costume design at the National Theatre's Shed. £4/£3, prebook, 6pm

FASCIST ITALY: Professor Christopher Duggan talks at the Wiener Library about Mussolini's fascist regime and the context in which Italian racial laws were introduced in 1937-8. Free, prebook, 6.30pm

BUSINESS FUNDING: Hear from business founders and CEOs at a "Wantrepreneurs" meet-up and learn ways in which you could get funding for a fledging business idea. You need to sign up to confirm the location. Free, RSVP, 6.30-9.30pm

LOST AT SEA: An evening of "carefree carousing" to mark the opening of Turner and the Sea and the Nelson, Navy, Nation gallery at the National Maritime Museum, peaks with a Thames-themed pub quiz from Londonist's own Matt Brown, editor and general know-it-all. Free, prebook, from 6pm

MIGRATION: The Migration Museum Project are at Iniva on Rivington Place to explore how have migrants shaped Britain's built environment. Free, prebook, 6.30pm

HONEY: Camden Friends of the Earth screen the award-winning documentary More than Honey, a film about the world of bees, at St Martin's Church in Gospel Oak. Free, just turn up, 6.30pm

CABARET: Go for a little cabaret and drag at Primo Bar where international drag performer La Voix brings together comedy, anecdotes and music (they do free music every night of the week so do take a look). Free, just turn up, 8pm

URBAN UNDERGROUND: Fairytales may tell you not to go into the woods alone, but what about going down into the London Underground solo? With plague pits and corpse rides, the tube has its fair share of urban legends. learn about them with Fortean London at The Bell on Middlesex Street. £3/£2, just turn up, 8pm

Friday 29 November

ILLUSTRATION: The London Illustration Fair opens today at Hackney Arches for browsers, buyers and artlovers. Free, just turn up, until 1 December

SHORT FILM: Featuring films of 30 minutes or less, The Swedenborg Short Film Festival at Swedenborg Hall screens a selection of short films, with awards being given at the end. Free, prebook, 6.30-9pm

Saturday 30 November

CRYPTO: Cryptofestival is at Goldsmith’s College to look at the various challenges to our security and privacy on the Internet, and offers some timely advice on staying secure. Free, prebook, from 11am

DRUNKEN NIGHTS: A series of site-based live events in pubs and bars, Drunken Nights is at Oval Tavern in Croydon with interactive, dance and mime performances. Free, just turn up, from 7.30pm
