The next project at the Old Vic Tunnels, a warren of re-purposed British Rail storage facilities beneath Waterloo station, will turn the space into a vision of hell. Specifically, hell as envisaged by one Dante Alighieri.

The Italian poet's Inferno, an allegorical trawl through the nine circles of hell, is the inspiration for what the Lazarides Gallery, who are curating the event, describe as a multi-sensory experience with plenty of opportunities to interact with the artworks. Previous events at the Tunnels include a Punchdrunk-driven dystopia, a macabre carnival, and a Banksy film premiere, so Hell's Half Acre is true to form.

Tickets are free, but are likely to be snapped up quickly. It runs from October 12th - 17th, from 6pm 'till 11pm daily.
