Time To Get A Travelcard: Fares Go Up Tomorrow

If you don’t want to be immediately hit by the Mayor’s fare hikes then get down your Oyster Point pronto – fare increases kick in tomorrow. Gen up on exactly how this affects you over at London Reconnections or the TFL website. Whilst single journeys are going up all round, Travelcard prices are mostly staying the same so this could be an ideal time to make the switch to one from PAYG.

    I get monthly travecards on my oyster and according to the TFL site these are the same price as 2009. Which makes a change for once.

    This is indeed a good thing. I am sad that one day bus passes have gone though. They were dead handy for visiting folk. I guess it’s time to get a store of spare Oysters in for those occasions now.

    Lindsey, yep that’s for sure, just a pity that TFL issue visitor Oystercards, which can’t get re-charged with more money to tourists coming from abroad. I’m sure similar cards would be of benifit to anyone in London for a day.

    Also with new cards costing £3 at issue would be off those looking for a one day card.
