The brilliant yellow paint job means that it doesn't take a hawk to locate the Falcon. It also helps the uninitiated distinguish the place from the identically named pub in Clapham Junction. It's a big old building. The L-shaped bar can seat plenty, with yet more room in the front and rear beer gardens (the latter fits 300 people).
When the place is packed, like on our recent Thursday evening visit, service can get a little slow, but never painfully so. This is very much a funtime pub, with table football, a 'monster collection' of boardgames, and a jovially decorated beer garden that often has BBQs. The beer choice is modest but well selected, favouring keg-delivered tipples. You can also pick up a cocktail for a fiver during the less busy days of the week. Food is very much of the trad-Brit variety, but with a build-your-own-burger option.
