A treasure of a local pub, hiding in the conservation area sometimes dubbed Leytonstone Village. The main room is one big horseshoe, plastered with rail memorabilia. The saloon side is where most of the action takes place, with a more subdued atmosphere in the public bar. It's a free house, with regularly-changing ales both familiar and novel. A fair-sized garden welcomes summertime drinkers, or you can perch on one of the benches out front. Regular live music nights, comedy and a quiz only add to the buzz. There's also on-site pizzas being baked by Muga Artisan Pizza — they're very tasty.
