My how you've changed. When we first visited this place a decade or more ago, it was a fairly average gastropub under the Geronimo chain. Now under the wing of Young's it's brightened up considerably. And we mean brightened. All the walls, inside and out, are painted in a lurid blue — actually not far off our own website colour.
It's now a very relaxed boozer, with a mix of comfy sofas and dining tables. You feel as welcome with just a drink as settling down for a meal.
The real draw here, though, is the spacious beer garden out back, which has plenty of covered seating to keep you dry in the English summer.
Images below are from 2015 and do not reflect the current look of the pub. We leave them in for the historical record.
