We've never seen a posher Fuller's pub. This one's two-thirds dining room, one third drinking space, one third private dining room. Hang on, that's four-thirds. Sorry, maths was never our strong point. The light, airy feel of a recent refit makes all feel welcome. A smaller selection of the brewers' ales are on tap, propped up by a much heartier wine selection. Inside, tools of the stonemasons' trade share the walls with incongruous sets of china plates — the type your aunt might have ordered from the Sunday glossies. The food is rather pricey for the area, but then there are plenty of celebs and richsters living nearby. In fact, we passed Bill Bailey on our way over. It's good quality fare, judging from the squid salad and beany-leaf things we ordered. There's no beer garden to speak of, but you will find a small outside area at the front.
Quiz night is Wednesday.
