There are reports of 'major disruption' to National Rail services into and out of London Waterloo this evening (Monday 11 April).

The disruption is a result of an earlier incident between Wimbledon and Surbiton. All lines were closed as a result.

Lines in the area have now reopened, but we're being warned of delays of up to 30 minutes, or cancellations, to services until 10pm tonight due to trains and crew members being displaced earlier in the day.

Routes affected include those between London Waterloo and Chessington South / Dorking / Guildford / Hampton Court / Woking / Shepperton / Alton / Basingstoke / Exeter St Davids / Haslmere / Weymouth / Portsmouth Harbour / Portsmouth & Southsea / Poole.

There is some ticket acceptance on alternative routes — see the SouthWestern Railway website for details. Southeastern trains using Waterloo East are unaffected by the incident.
