Updated statistics on the most and least used railway stations in London have been revealed by the Office for Rail and Road.

Liverpool Street tops the list, which is based on the number of entries and exits between April 2023 and March 2024. 94.5m people started or ended their journeys there, helping it keep its title as Great Britain's most used railway station.

That was followed on the London list by Paddington (66.9m) and Tottenham Court Road (64.2m). The latter is evidence of the effect of the Elizabeth line, the latest stats being the first to show a whole year’s worth of data since the line opened, with Tottenham Court Road now overtaking Waterloo.

London Waterloo, Stratford, Victoria, London Bridge, Farringdon, Bond Street and Euston complete the list of London's busiest railway stations. Bond Street is a new entry to the top 10, again helped along by the Elizabeth line, while St Pancras has dropped out of the top 10 for the first time in several years.

Equally as interesting is the data on London's least-used stations. Sudbury and Harrow Road was London's quietest railway station, with just 18,680 entries and exits, followed by Drayton Green, South Greenford, Sudbury Hill Harrow, Morden South, Birkbeck, Couldson Town, Reedham, Castle Bar Park and Crews Hill.

The busiest stations in England outside of London were Birmingham New Street (33.3m), Manchester Piccadilly (25.8m) and Leeds (24.9m).
